A smart mooring node:
- connects two smart mooring cables,
- houses a sensor (like a Sofar temperature, or Current Meter),
- carries a payload (like an RBR Coda3 sensor, or Bristlemouth Development Kit),
- attaches to a surface float, or
- attaches to an anchor.
